Daffodils are one of the most reliable spring-flowering bulbs, blooming year after year with little attention. They grow well in containers, borders and grass, with a wide range of flower shapes, forms and sizes to choose from, to brighten up your garden throughout spring.

Daffodils are very quick and easy to plant, and ideal for any garden, however small.

Soil/Position

Daffodils do best in full sun but will tolerate light shade. Plant them in a moist but free-draining soil with their pointy ends up. Water well once and wait for spring.

Deadhead after flowering and let the foliage die down naturally, for the best display the
following spring.

Application

Daffodils can be grown in containers, in borders or naturalised in lawns.  When growing daffodils in grass, the easiest way to create a natural look is to throw a handful of bulbs onto the lawn, and plant them where they land.
